Point Oktoberfest proved so popular last year when it was introduced that supplies ran out long before autumn turned to winter – so this year the Stevens Point Brewery brewed and packaged much more of the robust, malty copper-colored beer.
According to Joe Martino, Stevens Point Brewery operating partner, Point Oktoberfest’s introduction was successful because the beer delivers the authentic taste of Munich, home of the annual Oktoberfest, the world’s largest, most famous beer festival.
“Last year the demand for our new fall seasonal far exceeded the supply, which isn’t a bad problem to have, except that our customers wanted more and couldn’t get it. This year we brewed twice as much, but I’m afraid it still may not be enough,” Martino said. “We also packaged Point Oktoberfest in 12-pack bottles this year in order to better meet customer demand.”
“Oktoberfest is one of the world’s classic beer styles, and we’re excited to bring Point Oktoberfest back for another season,” he added.
Available now where Point beers are sold, Point Oktoberfest is brewed with Vienna and Munich malts and select Hallertauer and Perle hops, all imported from Bavaria, to achieve the distinctive Oktoberfest flavor and character.
“Point Oktoberfest is true to the Bavarian Oktoberfest style,” said John Zappa, Stevens Point Brewery Brewmaster. “We brew it to be very a well-balanced beer with a satisfying, sweet malt character. It’s the perfect beer for the warm days and cooler evenings of autumn.”

Naturist Society affiliated group, Black’s Beach Bares in San Diego, recreated the beer label scene - and what a fine job they did! Depicting our beach scene down to the colors of the towels - we applaud their attention to detail! This creative photo will be featured in N magazine’s August issue.
